The 2025 UEFA Champions League final will be held on May 31 at the Allianz Arena in Munich
The semi-final pairs have already been determined: Arsenal from England will face Paris Saint-Germain from France, and Barcelona from Spain will face Inter from Italy.
While Real Madrid tried to revive the intrigue, a real battle broke out on the pitch in Milan. Inter started the game with powerful pressure, and Bayern tried to hold out until overtime. During the match, the teams made a total of 35 shots on goal, but the result remained unchanged - 2:2. The confrontation between these two giants of the season was tense until the last minute, but the Italians advanced on aggregate. To defeat the strong defense of the Italians, the Munich team needed to use their chances more effectively, which they failed to do in previous matches. In the end, Inter were the lucky ones, and after two games (3:4), the Bavarians left the tournament.
The tension at the San Siro was incredible. Inter's journey began with criticism of the squad and concerns about the defense after the January defeat to Salernitana, but now Simone Inzaghi's team is considered one of the main contenders for the title. In the first half, the teams studied each other, and in the second, an attacking game began that made the stands hold their breath. In the 52nd minute, Harry Kane opened the scoring - this striker led the England team to success at Euro 2020 and Euro 2024 and continues to score regularly for Inter's rivals. Federico passed to Lautaro Martinez, who accurately headed the ball - 1:1. A minute later, Pavard successfully took advantage of the rebound and put his team ahead - 2:1. In the 76th minute, Eric Dier equalized the score — 2:2. The Italians continued to attack so powerfully that the Bavarians were forced to go into deep defense.
