The Georgia-Ukraine match will be held as part of the League of Nations championship

On October 11, as part of the championship, the national teams of Georgia and Ukraine already met. Serhiy Rebrov's team had been literally drowning since Euro 2024, so the Ukrainians desperately needed to win this most important meeting, including politically. The match between the two teams ended with a victory for the home team at the City Stadium in Poznan. Ukraine scored only one goal, but it was decisive in this game. Willy Sagnol's charges failed to score a single goal against the yellow-blues - the score was 1:0. By the way, the last meeting was full of inexplicable mysticism - already at the start the referee's flag broke, then the lights partially went out, and the author of the goal was Mikhail Mudrik, who was once bought from Chelsea for fabulous money, but has not scored anything since May. The coach of the Ukrainian national team had to release him only because almost all the main players were injured on the eve of the match - Lunin, Mykolenko, Zinchenko, Yermoolenko, Malinovsky, Tsygankov. Now the meeting is scheduled for November 16, and the Georgians are thirsty for revenge. Most likely, Willy Sagnol will release the strongest players - goalkeeper Mamardashvili and forwards Kvaratskhelia and Mikautadze - onto the pitch of the Adjarabet Arena. It is impossible to say for sure yet what will happen to the Ukrainian team. More than half of the team has been hit by a real epidemic of injuries, and the players are in rehabilitation. On October 14, after the meeting with the Georgian team, Serhiy Rebrov's team tied with the Czech Republic in the 4th round of the Nations League. The teams played at the neutral stadium "Tarczynski Arena" in Wroclaw (Poland). The match was refereed by a team of experienced referees, led by the stern Guillermo Cuadrado Fernandez (Spain). The national teams tied with a score of 1:1.

The four points received at this October training camp leave a chance for the Ukrainian team to continue the fight for entry into League A of the Nations League in November. For now, the Ukrainian team occupies the last line in the table of quartet 1 of League B, but after the victory over Georgia, everything can change.

On October 15, the Georgian team played with Albania, losing in the second match in a row. The Georgian footballers entered the game as favourites, with Willy Sagnol's charges having six points and first place in Group B.

Tickets for the Georgia-Ukraine match are an opportunity to be the first to see who will emerge victorious from this difficult confrontation, as well as to support your favourite team.
