Description

The Denmark national football team competes in international competitions. The team's first match occurred on October 19, 1908, against the French national team.

The team's first significant victory was the silver medal at the 1908 Olympic Games in London. Since then, the team has twice repeated its success at the Olympics. In 1948, it brought home Olympic bronze.

Participation in the European Championships has also brought the team success. In 1992, the Danes won the tournament in Sweden. Moreover, it took 3rd place in 1984 in France and at Euro 2020.

At the upcoming UEFA European Championship in 2024, the Danish national team will play in Group C. Its opponents will be Slovenia on June 16, England on June 20, and Serbia on June 25. The matches will be held in Stuttgart, Frankfurt and Munich respectively.

The Danish national team made its debut at the World Cup in 1986, reaching 6th place. In 1998, it managed to reach the quarterfinals.
