FC Sabah

FC Sabah is an Azerbaijani football club representing the urban-type settlement of Masazir. Founded on September 8, 2017, the club quickly gained recognition and respect in football circles. The founder of the club is Yagub Huseynov, the head of the Bridge Group of Companies. Magsud Adygezyalov became the President of the club, and Firudin Gurbanov became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Since the 2018/19 season, FC Sabah has been playing in the Azerbaijan Premier League, playing its home matches at the Bank Respublika Arena in Masazir. In the 2017/18 season, playing in the First Division, the club took 5th place, which was an excellent start for the young team.

On August 12, 2018, Sabah played its first match in the Premier League against FC Keshla and won with a score of 0:1. The only goal in this match was scored by Marko Devic, a former player of the Ukrainian national team, who wrote his name in the club's history as the author of the first goal in the top league.

Under the leadership of Murad Musayev, in December 2022, Sabah won the biggest victory in its history, defeating Sumgait with a score of 6:0.

In 2023, Sabah earned the right to participate in European competitions for the first time. In the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, the team successfully overcame the resistance of the Latvian RFS, winning with a score of 4:1 on aggregate. However, in the third qualifying round, Sabah lost to Serbian Partizan in a penalty shootout.
